Wayne C descends from a part of South Carolina that is very unique. The language known as Gullah formed an accent that is called geechi. It derives from his slave ancestors mixing there African rhyme language with English. He is the youngest member of South Carolinas notorious rhyme family The Carolina Pathfindaz, which currently has a member on tour with Petey Pablo, artist J.D. Hawg. Wayne has been dedicated to this for over ten years which is an amazing feat considering he’s at the tender age of 24. He has done shows with B.G., Mystikal, Fiend. Petey Pablo, Gangsta Boo, Ying Yang Twins, MasterP, 50 cent, Jim Crow, Juvenile, Youngbloods and the list continues to grow. Wayne sees his calling to music as an addiction. He knows he is still alive for a reason and he prepares himself everyday for the duty put upon him to change the way black men are viewed as a whole.
“Before it’s all over Hip Hop will recognize there is still a lot of work to be done for the next school to be stronger than we are now, God Willing, I will lead that. I’m building a eloquently states referring to his goal in the industry.
Wayne C currently has mixtapes circulating throughout the southeast as well as his own mixtape series, “Surviva Click”, under the alias “DJ Kak Kylla”. Wayne C’s debut album AngA Magnagement:Against All Odds is due out this summer.
All of his experience makes him a very dangerous artist. He may very well be the man to bring South Carolina the national respect for there struggle.
